NailHead Trim Chair For $10

So I will post a tutorial on this chair and maybe even the pillow a little later in the week. I was just so excited to be done with this chair because I really love it!! I got the chair for free, the previous owner of our new home left it here. The fabric was from Walmart at $1.50 a yard and I used 2 yards ($3.00 for fabric). The nailhead trim was $18 bucks for 10 yards but I only used 2 yards ($3.60 for trim) I had the paint and primer on hand already. The fabric for the pillow was also $1.50/yd and I used 2 yards. The actual pillow was just an old bed pillow we had that I cut to size! Seriously it is so fun to try and make or repurpose things for as cheap as possible!!! I lOVE IT!!!

Here is a cropped close up, sorry about the poor quality, I'm only able to use my cell phone at the moment!

  5. Unfortunately, the fabric is from the clearance bin at Walmart, so I don't think it is a kind you can get anywhere else, but the great thing about it is if you have a Walmart with a fabric section near you, they always have fabric on clearance going for $1.50/yd, you have to pick through the bad stuff, but you can ALWAYS find a way to make at least one or two of them work for you!

  7. This may be one my favorite chair. I love this style and what you did to the chair is amazing. It is fun to create something on the cheap, and almost as much fun to read about someone else doing it!
